Westin's recent takeover of this "beautiful" neoclassical-style hotel in the business district means the remodeled "spacious" rooms are "ultracool metro Zen" with "comfortable beds" and flat-screen TVs; adjacent to the Miracle Mile shopping district with a free trolley to further retail options at the Village of Merrick Park, it's a good choice for leisurites too, but some say the "unprofessional and slow" service could use an upgrade as well.

Room opened to the pool. Coffee in the room.
Pay parking. Pay fridge. These should have been included.

Very spacious rooms with sitting area.
Parking was costly.
For the price, it was excellent. I am not sure I would pay the going rate. Although it was nice. Parking is expensive, $25-40 daily.

Beautiful room with high ceilings.
Noisy guests outside our door in elevator lobby until about 4 am.
The hotel restaurant was supposed to open at 06:30 on Sunday morning. At that hour there were people inside who were clearly setting up but they ignored us at the door and didn't provide any information. Great location. Flavored water in the lobby. Free WiFi in the lobby.
Quite a hike to your room. Pool doesn't get much sun.
Large rooms, recently redecorated. Great beds. Large bathrooms but the one I was in lacked a lid on the toilet and there were few places to put your things when showering.

The beds were wonderful.
Parking was convenient, but you had to go outside the hotel and walk three buildings down to get to the parking ramp.
The hotel was in a great location with lots of shopping and restaurants on the Miracle Mile. Room was big and beds very comfortable. Staff very accommodating and helpful. The pool area and hot tub was very nice and on the roof top with a great view. Parking was near with in and out privileges for $20.
